Ely, England (United Kingdom) - "Ely Tri Club Runfest". The Ely Tri Club Runfest offers a choice of distances ranging from 10k to 66k, all of which start and finish at the iconic 11th century cathedral before taking in more of the beautiful historic city of Ely and heading out into the Cambridgeshire countryside. Most of the course involves quiet, flat, traffic free paths along the banks of the rivers Great Ouse and Cam and their adjacent fens (there's only one short, gentle climb through Cherry Hill Park in the entire race). Those running the marathon and ultra get the added bonus of a trip through the Wicken Fen nature reserve, home to more than 9,000 species, including Konik ponies, cattle, birds and rare plants. This is a low key, friendly event which welcomes adult runners of all ages and abilities. With a few obstacles (steps, stiles, cattle grids etc) along the way, the routes are perhaps better tailored for adventure, fun and stamina rather than PBs. But whatever your pace or goal there'll be plenty of food/drink stations and enthusiastic marshal support throughout. You can access entry details, locations, logistics, course information and past results by visiting the Ely Tri Club web site. Alternatively, you can go right ahead and book your place in the Runfest 2025 event with letsdothis.com and searching for Ely Tri Club Runfest 2025. http://go.evvnt.com/3160641-2?pid=6562

Wendover, England (United Kingdom) - "Country to Capital". It’s true to say our always-popular Country to Capital Ultra attracts a global field, with some of the best runners in Britain and beyond racing the 43-mile course. This famous race is the curtain raiser for the ultra running season and the starting point for those brave Go Beyond runners wishing to take on our Grand Slam of four ultra marathons over 180 grueling miles. Country to Capital takes you through the Buckinghamshire countryside, crossing the M25—by bridge, of course!—and heading towards the well-heeled surroundings of Denham. From there, runners pick up the Grand Union Canal towpath for the final run into London, finishing near the Little Venice canal basin, a surprisingly tranquil setting in the heart of the capital and close to both Paddington and Royal Oak Tube stations. The race concludes at The Stowe Centre, where you can enjoy showers, toilets, and a large hall to relax in after finishing. Country to Capital is historically a sell-out event, so be sure to get your entry in early. It is fully tracked and interactive, allowing your friends and family to follow your progress from the comfort of their armchairs while also ensuring that you are following the route correctly! www.gobeyondchallenge.com/ultra-marathons/country-to-capital-ultra
