North Kingstown, Rhode Island (United States of America) - "OktoberVets 5k & Festival". This family, fun community event will bring together people of our community and veterans who have served our nation. You get two races for the price of one!! The 5k through historic Wickford Village and a .152k fun run will allow people of all ages and abilities to complete. Both runs will be conducted like a typical road race, complete with bib numbers, start/finish line, timing, and water stations. All race participants will be given a T-shirt with a unique, specially designed race logo, a race medal, and a goodie bag with assorted swag. Proceeds from this event will go to Gateway to Independence, a VA-supported veteran transitional housing program for homeless individuals due to PTSD, substance abuse, depression, and other factors, serving over an average of 100 individuals annually. Proceeds will also benefit our Holiday Veteran in need program providing food and clothing for disadvantaged local veterans. Enjoy a run through Historic Wickford Village, named 2022 Best Historic Small Town in America by USA Today. Established in 1709, Wickford Village provides picturesque waterfront streets with one-of-a-kind shops featuring jewelry, housewares, clothing, and more. Little Compton, Rhode Island (United States of America) - "Wine Run at Sakonnet Vineyard". On Saturday, October 17, 2026, enjoy a beautiful run through Sakonnet Vineyard in Little Compton, RI. Grab some friends and enjoy a trail run along gorgeous farms and finishing amongst the vines. After the race, there will be dinner, wine, and music in the vineyard. Race participants will receive a souvenir wine glass as a memento of their experience. The course is approximately 3 miles along varying trails. The race begins at 1pm with bib pick up starting at 11 am, all at Sakonnet Vineyard. Please plan on arriving at least one hour before the race starts to get checked in and settled for an on-time start. General Race Entry includes parking, race entry, professional race timing, t-shirt, wine glass and wine, dinner and music. Narragansett, Rhode Island (United States of America) - "Ocean State Rhode Races". The 9th Annual Ocean State Rhode Races in Narragansett, RI will be held on Sunday, October 25, 2026. Race weekend features a Marathon, Half Marathon, and 5k Race. The Marathon will start at 7:30 am, the Half Marathon will start at 8:00 AM, and the 5k at 8:15 am, all on Sunday.
