Meråker, Trøndelag (Norway) - "Meråker Mountain Challenge". The Meråker Mountain Challenge (MMC) is held every year in the beginning of August. There are a plethora of distances - something for everyone! And they all take place on the same Saturday, except the 100 miles distance - "The Death March" - which starts at noon on Friday. Logistically easy to reach by plane (many international flights to/from Trondheim), train, bus or car. Still you will enter the wilderness of Meråker, and visit some of the regions most scenic landscape with it's peaks and lakes, with Teveltunet as a common Race Center for all activities during the week of the event. You can choose from the following distances: Minithon (2 and 4 km), 8K (7.6 km, +/-500 m. Also has a class for canicross - running with dogs), 21K (20 km, +950/-1020 m. Norwegian qualifier for youth WC), 42K (40 km, +2000/-1960 m. Norwegian qualifier for WC ultra-trail short distance), 70K (70 km, +4000/-3960 m. In 2025 this is also the Norwegian national championship for ultra-trail senior and veterans), 100K (100 km, +4750, -4420 m), 100M (161 km, +/-6200 m). www.mmctrail.no

Tromsø (Norway) - "PolarNight Marathon". Join an Arctic running experience in the polar night! Experience Norway's biggest winter race with over 2000 runners from all over the world. Run in the blue, Arctic light and experience the arctic. The PolarNight Marathon starts at 13:00, Halfmarathon stars at 15:00 in the afternoon, and it is already dark - during the polar night. This is also a great opportunity to hunt the Northern lights (Aurora borealis) in our "backyard". You can choose a distance after your level and ambitions: Halfmarathon, 10km or 5km. Tromsø is located 400 km abouv the Arctic Circle, but still very easy to travel into by plain.
