It’s true to say our always-popular Country to Capital Ultra attracts a global field, with some of the best runners in Britain and beyond racing the 43-mile course. This famous race is the curtain raiser for the ultra running season and the starting point for those brave Go Beyond runners wishing to take on our Grand Slam of four ultra marathons over 180 grueling miles. Country to Capital takes you through the Buckinghamshire countryside, crossing the M25—by bridge, of course!—and heading towards the well-heeled surroundings of Denham. From there, runners pick up the Grand Union Canal towpath for the final run into London, finishing near the Little Venice canal basin, a surprisingly tranquil setting in the heart of the capital and close to both Paddington and Royal Oak Tube stations. The race concludes at The Stowe Centre, where you can enjoy showers, toilets, and a large hall to relax in after finishing. Country to Capital is historically a sell-out event, so be sure to get your entry in early. In Nepal's folklore, Yeti is an "abominable snowman" who looks like an ape, is taller than an average human, and is believed to live in the Himalayas, Siberia, Central and East Asia. Yeti, during the pre-19th century, was believed to be a "glacier being" who was worshipped by the indigenous communities. Each lap must be finished within the hour to stay in the event. If you finish early, you rest until the next round. Miss a lap, and you’re out. Complete all six rounds, and you outlast. 4 laps = Bronze “Grit Earned” leather patch, 5 laps = Silver “Survivor” leather patch, 6 laps = Premium “Outlast” wooden medal. All participants receive an Outlast tee and sticker. The top male and female with the fastest combined 5K times at each event win the 1st Place Outlast award.
