San Juan de Marcona, Ica (Peru) - "Marcona Wind Trail". Marcona Wind Trail, an ultramarathon held in the Peruvian desert, has year after year exceeded the expectations of everyone involved in this great event. On Sunday, November 2, 2025, athletes from all over the world will participate in this grand sporting event in San Juan de Marcona, where Desert and Sea meet, in one of the most anticipated competitions on the Trail circuit in Peru and Latin America. The Marcona Wind Trail represents one of the most extraordinary routes on the Latin American coast, where runners test their skills in the only race in the world that combines beautiful cliffs, tranquil beaches, and an impressive forest of rock figures above sea level, including a perfect elephant standing still in front of the ocean. The 100K, 65K, 42K, 21K, and 10K distances have been designed for athletes of varying experience levels, who will be able to run beneath towering rock cathedrals and a giant wind farm, combining nature and life along a rugged path of dunes and steep slopes. Additionally, since 2016, the Marcona Wind Trail has been a member of the International Trail Running Association (ITRA) and has certified the 21k, 42k, 65k, and 100k distances. It also awards ITRA points for the 42k, 65k, and 100k distances. In addition, due to its terrain and conditions, it serves as a preparation area for the Marathon des Sables (MDS) and its variants. If you want to have fun and enjoy a completely new route, participate in the Marcona Wind Trail and challenge your ability every kilometer! www.marconawindtrail.com
