Kings Lynn, England (United Kingdom) - "Run Sandringham Half Marathon". Run Sandringham looks forward to welcoming thousands of runners of all abilities and ages to the Royal Estate, to run a Half Marathon or Community Mile, and will aim to raise many thousands of pounds for good causes. Taking place on Sunday 28th September 2025 and organised by Good Running Events, Run Sandringham is a major event in the 2025 East Anglian running calendar. With a start and finish within the Royal estate, the event boasts a super scenic mixed terrain route around the grounds of Sandringham Estate, The Royal Family's winter retreat, including passing immediately in front of Sandringham House. Don't miss it! Registration Open: 8.00am Half Marathon Start: from 09.30am Community Mile Start: 12:30pm (approx) Age limits - 4 years or older for Community Mile - all under 11s to be accompanied by an adult. 17+ for the Half Marathon. A bespoke medal, and goodie bag will be available to all runners. Chip Timing is in operation on the Half Marathon only. Trophies are awarded to the top three male and female runners, and first in each age category. The main race will start and finish within the Sandringham Estate, and take in the stunning countryside views of Sandringham, and the Royal House and Park. The course will be marshalled and clearly signposted. Unfortunately due to the nature of the route, no pets, wheelchairs or prams are able to be used within the race. The Event Village will be open from 8:00am. Further details regarding race packs will be made available nearer the event. On receipt of your bib number, Runners MUST write their name, any medical condition, emergency contact name and contact number on reverse of their race number where requested.The course is mainly on the trails through and surrounding the estate, as well as closed roads that are traffic free. Please follow all signage and Marshal's directions at all times and keep to the left unless instructed otherwise. There is no time limit on this event, although you may be directed to the pavement if you do not reach 10 miles within 3.5 hours to allow roads to reopen on time. Medical teams will be present onsite - if you feel pain, experience dizziness or any other symptoms immediately stop running and seek help from a marshal, who can radio through for medical assistance. There will be at least 3 water stations out on the course. Run Sandringham is a sustainable plastic free event - so please bring refillable bottles where possible, and we can refill these at the designated water stations on route.In ear Headphones are banned from the race. Bone conducting headphones though are permitted & so long as you can still hear marshal instructions clearly. Appropriate footwear should be worn. The routes are a mix of closed road and trail. Unfortunately, refunds are not available, but if you are unable to run on the day, transfers are available on the website until 23:59 on 14th September 2025. After this date, PLEASE DO NOT pass your race number to someone else. If this is identified, both the runner and & new runner will be disqualified, banned from future races and referred to the permit regulators. Ample parking is available at the Sandringham Estate, based just off the B1440 & entrance is at what3words location ///wider.throw.towel. Premium parking option based in the event village next to the start line available for a small fee. The organisers accept no responsibility for runners vehicles, contents, or baggage. Iffley, England (United Kingdom) - "Thames Trail Ultra Marathon". This demanding run along the Thames is one of the most popular events in the British ultra running calendar. The event takes in 47-miles from Iffley in Oxfordshire to Henley-on-Thames. Runners will enjoy the company of England's largest river as it makes its way past ever-changing scenery, beautiful houses and traditional rowing clubs. Expect everything from tarmac paths to muddy trails on this interesting and challenging course. The run follows both the Thames Path and Ridgeway National Trails, so entrants should be careful not to forget the words °National Trail" rather than simply reading Thames Path. Starting around three miles south of Oxford, the race heads from Hawkwell House Hotel down to Iffley Lock and across the river. It then follows the towpath through the picturesque towns and villages of the region to Henley-on-Thames. The race finish is at the YMCA Y Centre, in Lawson Road, Henley-on-Thames. Leighton Buzzard, England (United Kingdom) - "Dirt Half Challenge". Famous Autumn trail race half marathon Join us for our award-winning Dirt Half Challenge on Saturday, 8th November 2025. Totally Stunning Course. The race starts in the historic market town of Leighton Buzzard. It completes an anti-clockwise lap of Tiddenfoot Waterside Park before following the picturesque autumnal Grand Union Canal towpath north to Stoke Hammond with stunning views, climbing through beautiful countryside to Great Brickhill. Wendover, England (United Kingdom) - "Country to Capital". It’s true to say our always-popular Country to Capital Ultra attracts a global field, with some of the best runners in Britain and beyond racing the 43-mile course. This famous race is the curtain raiser for the ultra running season and the starting point for those brave Go Beyond runners wishing to take on our Grand Slam of four ultra marathons over 180 grueling miles. Country to Capital takes you through the Buckinghamshire countryside, crossing the M25—by bridge, of course!—and heading towards the well-heeled surroundings of Denham. From there, runners pick up the Grand Union Canal towpath for the final run into London, finishing near the Little Venice canal basin, a surprisingly tranquil setting in the heart of the capital and close to both Paddington and Royal Oak Tube stations. The race concludes at The Stowe Centre, where you can enjoy showers, toilets, and a large hall to relax in after finishing. Country to Capital is historically a sell-out event, so be sure to get your entry in early. Farnborough, England (United Kingdom) - "Farnborough Half". This will be the 10th running of the event. It is fast, flat and very, very popular for anyone looking for an early season test of form and fitness. We had over 2400 finishers this year, many of them running a PB in near perfect running conditions. The Twin Lakes 20 is a stunning 10-mile or 20-mile race that will prepare you for your Spring half/marathon experience without having to run on your own. Brixworth, England (United Kingdom) - "The Rosebud Marathon". The route is approximately 60% trail and 40% on road. The Race registration and finish is hosted by the Brixworth Country Park with plenty of room for parking, and only 20 minutes drive from the M1 Motorway. The race is a single line with us providing transport to the start (for a small fee) making for easy planning and logistics. The route takes in the beautiful Northamptonshire countryside with the Grand Union Canal and 14 pretty villages, towns and hamlets following parts of the Nene Way, the Midshires Way and the Northampton Round. There are 2 checkpoints at 9.5 miles approx. and 17.7 miles approx. with support from the local running community. The event is fully tracked and interactive so friends and family will be able to follow your progress from the comfort of their armchairs and also you can make sure that you are following the route! Brixworth, England (United Kingdom) - "The Rose of the Shires Ultra Marathon". The Rose of the Shires Ultra is one of our flagship events, providing crazy runners with a sensibly priced race in the heart of Northamptonshire. This circular route will take you through an area renowned as the second garden of England OK Kent, you beat us to first place! Along the way, you will enjoy 54-miles of incredible scenery, country trails, roads and towpaths. Featuring around three-quarters trails with the rest being road, Rose of the Shires starts and finishes at Brixworth Country Park, where there is plenty of room for parking. Found just 20 minutes drive from the M1, this is the perfect starting point for a race which is really easy in terms of planning and logistics because of its one loop format. The route passes through the beautiful Northamptonshire countryside, including two stunning country parks, Salcey Forest, the Grand Union Canal and 21 pretty villages and towns.
