The 5K Stroller Roll is a 3.1-mile race for ALL runners and walkers and those wishing to participate while pushing a baby jogger, a baby stroller, wagon, tricycle, power wheels, or any other type of wheels. (No special stroller needed or required!) Expecting mothers, supporting dads, grandmothers, and grandfathers are all invited to participate in the race. It Starts With Me 2, is a nonprofit organization that continues to encourage Healthy Living for the entire family. Our mission is to enhance the quality of life in the communities we serve through education, nutrition, and physical fitness. Each participant will receive a T-shirt, and a race medal (for the first 100 participants). We highly encourage you to decorate your stroller and dress your kid in their favorite costumes. Awards will be given to the best-decorated stroller along with other awards. Registration fee for children that are riding in a stroller are free with a paid adult fee. The courses are out of this world flat & fast with a total elevation gain of the half marathon at 224 feet, the 5K course total elevation gain of 50 feet, and only 90 feet of gain in the 10K! PCOS Sisters Telehealth Clinic and PCOS Challenge: The National Association for Polycystic Ovarian Syndrome are teaming up this September for PCOS Awareness Month to bring you the PCOS Trailblazers 5K. This inspiring event is designed to raise voices and support for the millions of women affected by Polycystic Ovarian Syndrome. Why participate? PCOS impacts 1 in 10 women and is a leading cause of infertility, along with other symptoms like weight gain, mood swings, acne, and irregular cycles. By joining us, you'll help shine a light on this common condition and show solidarity with those impacted. You don't need a PCOS diagnosis to participate—everyone is welcome, whether you suspect you have PCOS, are a family member, an advocate, or simply want to learn more! The event will take place on Sunday, September 28th, 2025, with a 9:00 AM race start at Sweetwater Creek State Park (1750 Mt Vernon Rd, Lithia Springs, GA 30122), with a virtual option available. This family-friendly event is open to all ages and fitness levels and is untimed. You can choose to walk, hike, or run! The 5K will take place on the Sweetwater Creek State Park Yellow Trail, with a 1-mile fun hike also available for those who prefer fewer inclines. Come out and show your support at one of Douglas County’s Georgia Film Trail stops! Sweetwater Creek State Park has been the backdrop for numerous movies and TV shows, including Atlanta, Avengers: Infinity War, Cobra Kai, and The Hunger Games.
