Pine, Arizona (United States of America) - "Pine Trail Run". Welcome to the 6th Annual Pine Trail Run, located in the beautiful town of Pine, AZ. This annual event raises funds to improve the health of the forest by adding new sustainable trails, improving existing trails, and educating the public in wildfire prevention through the Firewise Garden and Fire Interpretive Trail. The mission is to reduce the risk of catastrophic fire in and around the Rim Country communities of Pine and Strawberry. The race courses run along the Mogollon Rim at about 6,000 ft. elevation, mostly on trails built and maintained by the PSFR trail crew and the Arizona Trail Association. The PSFR crew works year-round maintaining and improving the Pine area trails in the Tonto National Forest. All runners will park at the dirt lot just 0.25 miles southwest of Pine Trailhead and will be bused to the start line. There will be a porta-potty available. Information regarding the 50K cutoff at each aid station is listed on the website. All finished runners will be shuttled between the trailhead, barn, and dirt lot until 12 a.m. Camping is available in the arena near the barn for race weekend (4 p.m. Friday to 4 p.m. Sunday). There are only 15 spaces available on a first-come, first-served basis with a minimal fee, and free camping is available in the Tonto National Forest adjacent to the parking area. More information can be found on the website. All 5K and 10-mile runners will receive a free breakfast, and all 50K runners will receive a free dinner. Runners in all races will also have the option to purchase extra breakfasts and dinners for themselves and friends during online registration only ($11 for breakfast and $13 for dinner). Packet pickup will be available Friday evening at the Red Barn and at the parking area on Saturday morning. All participants will have their choice of either a commemorative tech t-shirt or a hat.
