McKinney, Texas (United States of America) - "DFW Burning Soles Trail Series (Race 2)". The hottest racing in town is bringing a new heat to the DFW metroplex with the Burning Soles Trail Series. Beginning this June and running through August, compete in a 5k or 10k series over 8 weeks this summer. Alternating trails between Northshore Trail in Flower Mound and Erwin Park in McKinney keep things fresh week to week. Trails will be well marked, with lively and exciting finish line atmosphere. Featuring some of the best singletrack trails in North Texas, races will be chip timed for all participants. When you arrive for your first race, you will be assigned and given a runners bib for the series. Bring that bib back with you each time you race. Our schedule switches weekly to provide great off-road racing opportunities of varying technical capabilities. Series kickoff and series finale will be held at the Northshore Trail MADD Shelter. Be aware: Racers from both 5k and 10k distances will be on the course at the same time. 10k racers will have a 45-minute head start before 5k racers start. This should provide plenty of spacing between racers. Be aware of other racers. Race distances of 5k and 10k are approximate based on trail conditions and course. Recorded distances may be below or above the advertised distance. DFW Series provides local, accessible and family-friendly trail races focused on community building and volunteer efforts. Our Dallas area trails are all on municipal or federal property and maintained thanks to the tireless efforts of 501(c)(3) non-profit Dallas Off-Road Bicycle Association (DORBA). If you are a frequent trail user, please consider getting an annual DORBA membership for only $40 per year. All funding to DORBA goes towards trail maintenance and advocacy in our area, supporting 28 trails and 265+ miles of singletrack. There are no refunds for the Burning Soles Trail Series. All registrations are final. We will accept transfer requests to other races and understand that life changes can occur. If you are unable to make an event that you have registered for, please send an email and request a transfer to an alternate date. In the event of a cancellation due to weather or trail closures, all registrations will automatically be credited to the next week in the series. If you are already registered for that week, you will be moved to the next week not already entered. There are no refunds due to trail closures or reschedules to rain dates. www.dfwseries.com/burning-soles
