The inaugural Twin Cities Twilight Relays is a 4-person evening (6pm start time) relay race where each team member runs the same approximately 3.3-mile scenic, flat, and fast road loop around Bde Maka Ska, Minneapolis' largest lake. Participants congregate in a relay exchange festival area with music, food, rehydration, and lots of good vibes to cheer each other on. The Twilight Relays is a timed event with awards for the top team in multiple categories, but at its core it’s more fun than competitive and is intended to be a summer running celebration of our vibrant and diverse Twin Cities running community and all that makes it great. Olympia, Washington (United States of America) - "Olympia Lakefair Races". The Olympia Lakefair Races (3K, 8K, and Half Marathon) are organized by the Lake Run Organization, a 501(c)3 nonprofit organization, and the Olympia Downtown Rotary Club. The primary purpose of the races is to raise money for local public high school cross country and track & field programs and local Rotary youth scholarships and grants. The races start and finish on 5th Ave along Heritage Park at 7 a.m. (Half Marathon), 8 a.m. (8K), and 8:05 a.m. (3K). The 3K race is free participants 14 years and younger. There are prizes for overall, masters (40+), super masters (50+), and top three 5-year age group winners up to 90+ in each race. Additionally, several random prizes are awarded, and post-race food and snacks are provided. Tech T-shirts are included with entries ($10 extra for free 14 & under 3K participants), and Half Marathon finishers receive a finisher medal. Free downloadable and shareable photos listed by participant and results are posted on the website., starting in downtown and finishing on Fifth Avenue at Heritage Park.
