The Bear Country 5K & 10K are flat, family-friendly races in the beautiful mountain town of Brevard, NC, starting and finishing at Oskar Blues Brewery. The courses take runners along the Brevard Greenway, surrounded by breathtaking mountain views. Runners receive a commemorative race T-shirt and medal, and participants 21+ can enjoy a complimentary Oskar Blues beer with valid ID. The Bear Country races support Find OUTDoors and their mission to provide access to public lands through recreational experiences. Discounts include 10% off for runners 17 & under or 65 & over as part of the Start Running & Keep Running initiative, and 20% off for groups of four or more who register together in the same transaction. Strollers and friendly dogs are welcome at both the 5K and 10K, but participants are asked to start towards the back of the pack, and dogs must be leashed.
