Cat Springs, Texas (United States of America) - "Jackalope Jam". The Jackalope Jam is a 6-hour, 12-hour, 24-hour, 48-hour, 72-hour, and 100-hour timed event where you record the greatest distance possible during your chosen duration while running, walking, hiking, or competing in our separate ruck divisions. New in 2025, you can also compete as a 2–6 person team in the 24-Hour Relay. Every participant receives a medal, and solo competitors completing 100 kilometers or more earn a buckle. The event is held at 7IL Ranch, which offers open access all week, course-side camping, great facilities, and beautiful landscape. The out-and-back course is exactly 2 miles (one mile out, one mile back) on a short-grass/gravel farm road, with one main aid station at the start/finish fully stocked with a Texas-sized ultra buffet, including real food for overnighters. Runners are encouraged to set up their own tent and support area along the course. It is common for runners to take long rest breaks, sleep, or even leave and return later to complete more miles. Only fully completed laps count toward distance, with medals awarded for sub-100k distances and bonus patches for ruck participants. Relay pricing and format allow each additional team member to trigger a $10 refund for previous members. All members pay the same amount, with larger teams reducing the per-person fee. The relay is open format with no designated order or number of laps per member; exchanges can only occur at the start/finish after completed laps. Team changes must be finalized by the captain before registration closes. Teams can compete in all-male, all-female, or coed divisions (minimum 2 female). The event takes place at 7IL Ranch, 5389 Mill Creek Rd, Cat Spring, Texas 78933.
