Karori, Wellington (New Zealand) - "Barefoot Xtrail Spring Series - Mad Makara". Find out why Makara Mountain Bike park is the jewel in Wellington’s inner city crown - runners only, just for one day! These tracks are all open and well formed, with a little climbing at the start. They are all a really good intro to Barefoot XTRAIL Series. There's nothing too technical, they include some bush clad trails mixed with some 4WD tracks with open views. The tracks are quite protected should the weather be dodgy. Medium & Long will have a fair amount of climbing, although you don't go that high. You do get nice views from Makara peak, but ensure you pack some warm clothes as it can get chilly on the ridge line. https://barefootxtrail.co.nz/mad-makara

Takapuna, Auckland (New Zealand) - "North Shore Marathon". Established in 2007, originally as the North Shore City Half Marathon and part of the RUN Auckland Series, the North Shore Marathon evolved to a standalone event in 2011, the event has a long and proud history as North Shore's best running event. Held annually usually on the first Sunday of September but tide dependent, the event often marks the start of spring and Fathers Day. As one of New Zealand's most scenic running courses taking in the beautiful North Shore Coastline with sections along Takapuna, Cheltenham & Milford Beaches and including a circuit up and around Maungauika/Historic North Head. This spectacular part of the course has been the showcase of the event since 2007 with Auckland’s best views out into the Hauraki Gulf to Rangitoto Island and Auckland City Skyline out into the Hauraki Gulf to Rangitoto Island. There course features a mixture of road, beach, and grass trails, so there is a bit of something for everyone. https://northshoremarathon.co.nz

Christchurch (New Zealand) - "Pawsome Run". Woof, woof - Charlie here! I am the proud ambassador of the upcoming "Pawsome Run" event. I am excited to invite all my fellow dog friends to join me for the "Pawsome Run" at the Canterbury A & P Park. This is our chance to show our humans how much fun running can be. Every Human competitor receives a Pawsome Medal when they finish and every Dog receives a Pawsome Dog Tag when they finish. I've also talked my humans into making some changes to make the event more exciting for us, with some obstacles to be added and those that want to be competitive, you'll also be timed and get your results. http://www.pawsomerun.co.nz
