It was one of numerous such 50 mile events held around the country as part of President John F. Kennedy's push to bring the country back to physical fitness. The JFK 50 Mile in Washington County, Maryland, is the only original JFK 50 Mile Challenge event to be held every year. Although open to the public, the JFK 50 Mile is in spirit a military race. Macon, Georgia (United States of America) - "Macon Music Half Marathon". We are proud to announce the 4th annual Macon Music Half Marathon to be held on November 21, 2026. It will start and end in Carolyn Crayton Park (Central City Park). Following three successful years with runners from 26 States, we are thrilled to plan for an even better event in 2026. The course will take you by locations showing the musical heritage of Macon including the Grand Opera House, the Big House, Little Richard's home, Capricorn Studios, Otis Redding Foundation, and Mercer's McDuffie Center for Strings as well as other historic and cultural sites. Attractions along the course are currently being planned. ILLINOIS OLDEST TURKEY TROT!! 58th annual Thornton Turkey Trot. 9:00 AM 1 Mile Kids Run (8th grade and younger) & 1 Mile community walk, 9:30 AM Community 5k. But when we join together for a common goal, we create a beautiful picture together, a mosaic of fun if you will! So we created this trail running weekend right here in the outskirts of Austin (in the amazingly rapidly-growing Liberty Hill) to give us an excuse to play together. All ages, ethnicities, backgrounds, and generations are invited to our new trail run at an awesome historic Texas ranch, right next to the city, on the San Gabriel River. The 6th Annual Resolution Run takes place around the 6k loop of the Cook County Forest Preserve Vollmer Grove Trail and is a fantastic way to say goodbye 2026 and welcome 2027 with new goals! This running event races through the trails on New Year’s Day, at a reasonable 11am. We welcome families and participants of all ages to come run or crawl their way to completing their first resolution!
