The WCRC is a USATF certified, affiliate member of the RRCA and a 501(c)3 nonprofit organization, whose goal is to provide equal opportunities for everyone to participate in and contribute to the sport of running - where all are safe, welcome, and have a sense of belonging. The WCRC Hangover Classic features both 10K and 5K road races. Both races start simultaneously from the same line and both finish on the same line (with start and finish chip timing). Both courses are flat and fast - entirely on beachfront roads (no beach running). Given the scenic beachfront location, many participants choose to take a post-race ocean plunge to kick off the New Year.
