The Blast Bubble 5k Family Fun Run/Walk is a family-friendly event held as part of the "Blast From the Past" festivities in Downtown Historic Sedro-Woolley, WA, taking place on the Cascade Trail at the corner of Northern & Metcalf Streets. Foam party at the Start/Finish line for kiddos. Strollers and dogs are welcome, with the requirement that dogs must be leashed at all times and be friendly to strangers, crowds, and other dogs. Registration opens at 10:00 am, and the race begins at 11:00 am, with the course closing at 12:00 pm. The route is a flat, out-and-back course on paved roads and trails, featuring an aid station at the turnaround point offering water and a special treat. The LifeSong Dash is the main fundraiser for LifeSong, Inc., a community-based program offering Day Habilitation and Supported Employment services to nearly 225 individuals with developmental and intellectual disabilities. The LifeSong Dash has been called a "Diamond in the Rough" road race, incorporating rugged county roads and lengthy park straightaways to create a unique, challenging race course for veteran competitors and novice runners alike. "Dash Day" also features a Kids' Run around the Town Park, plus several family fun events - games, food trucks, an ice cream social, dunk tank and rock climbing wall, a post-race concert and much more! Richmond's Boxer Brief 5K Run/Walk brings together colorectal cancer survivors, patients, family, friends, neighbors, and colleagues to energize efforts to prevent and defeat our country's second cancer killer in men and women. Colorectal cancer is a preventable cancer and the proceeds support the work of Hitting Cancer Below the Belt (HCB2) to continue to expand their screening and educational services. Music, costumes, games, awards, and prizes create a high energy morning! Awards will be given to the top three overall fastest man and woman, the top age group males and females, along with the fastest doggie duo and stroller duo. Team Awards are also offered which highlights the tremendous team passion along the course. Everyone Can Join In! The Diaper Dash, Toddler Trot, and the Caped Colon Crusader fun run are free activities for our smallest competitors. It's a "brief" event for a great cause!
