Dansville, Michigan (United States of America) - "Bigfoot Challenge 5k/8k Memorial Day Run/Walk". The 48th Annual Memorial Day Bigfoot Challenge 5K/8K starts at 8:30 a.m. in the little town of Dansville, where participants can run with Bigfoot. A parade follows the race at 12:00 p.m. All entries receive a T-shirt and a Bigfoot Finishing Medal, with a new patriotic T-shirt design available in two colors; sign up early to guarantee a shirt. Entry fees are $27 until March 16, $29 until April 14, $31 until May 14, and day-of registration is $39 by cash, check, or online sign-up. Family discount codes are available for three or more participants, and participants can run for free by donating $100. The Little Foot race for children 12 and under has an entry fee of $15 in advance and $20 on race day, starting at 8:10 a.m. on the track, with participants receiving a medal and T-shirt. Children can run one or two laps, and Bigfoot will run one lap with the younger kids. Results for the 5K and 8K will be chip-timed and texted to participants, with live results on the website. Age group awards are Bigfoot trophies for the top three finishers in each age group: 12 & under, 13–14, 15–16, 17–18, 19–24, 25–29, 30–34, 35–39, 40–44, 45–49, 50–54, 55–59, 60–64, 65–69, 70–74, 75–79, and 80+. Chamonix (France) - "Running and Yoga". The Chamonix valley sits at the foot of Mt Blanc which provides a stunning backdrop to this introduction to mountain trails combined with relaxing yoga sessions following each run. On this holiday we provide a 2 half-day running adventure break combined with yoga aimed at yogis looking to discover trail running in the mountains for the first time, as well as more experienced runners looking for a spot of comfort whilst pursuing their passion for running and yoga. There are many route options around the area which will take us to both sides of the valley. The trails vary from pine woods to rocky exposed routes, something for everyone. We pick some really beautiful 13km (approx.) trails for you whilst you which show off the valley at its best, so you get a good flavour of what to expect on our longer adventures. We will also look at some of the trail techniques that will make you a more proficient trail runner. You will get some breath taking views of Mt Blanc as well as the Aiguilles (needles). Since this holiday is focused on comfort, running and yoga, the trail runs will last around 3.5 hours a day followed by an alpine yoga session leaving you relaxed and ready to enjoy the rest of each day, to relax and explore Chamonix and possibly even take a trip up to the Aiguille du Midi.
