To celebrate, we've got some new (and old!) treats to announce. Race veterans know we launch a new color scheme each year, and this year there are three featured colors and you can choose which color you want for your shirt—are you a "heather purple," "jade dome," or "antique heliconia" type of person? And what the heck is "heliconia"?! You can preview the shirt color choices when you register. Medals are going retro! The Cupcake Run bling is always a big hit, and this year we celebrate ten years by bringing back several previous medal designs, which will be "plussed" to acknowledge the 10-year anniversary. Which medal design will you be awarded when you cross the finish line? New this year: teams! We encourage participants to form a team and appoint a team captain who will name and register the team and share the team name with other participants. As a way to give back to schools and promote a healthy community, every team associated with a school will receive a $100 mini grant for each ten members on their team, to be used to purchase recess and P.E. equipment.
